Curriculum
Our curriculum offers a combination of pre-academics, art and play. Our lessons are theme related and we provide a classroom that is fully immersed in the theme we are teaching. We incorporate the Massachusetts Department of Education preschool frameworks into our curriculum to provide an exceptional educational program. We encourage children to explore learning opportunities at their own pace as well as promote self-expression through creativity and imagination. We strongly encourage parent and family involvement in our program because we believe education is a collaborative effort between school and home. Schedule The daily schedule is posted for parent/guardian review and outlines the specific day's activities that have been pre-planned for your child. The plan includes a structured day comprised of free play, snack, toileting and hand washing, rest, group activities, and outdoor play. We also provide a monthly newsletter to each family highlighting the progression of the past weeks' events and notifying families about upcoming events. We follow the Milton Public School calendar with a few exceptions: we offer an early drop-off and extended day option, as well as a 5-6 week summer session. Physical Environment Our classrooms have been renovated to meet our expectations of a warm and cozy place to come. We have carefully selected toys, books, and play equipment that stimulates a child's creativity and independence. We have a large fenced in yard with plenty of room for outdoor play. |
